A COMMERCIAL garage and showrooms in Helston closed suddenly last week.

Outwardly Ward Vauxhall at the top of Sithney Common Hill appears to be in business with cars for sale on its forecourt.

But handwritten signs on its doors merely say: "This garage is no longer trading." There were clearly at least a couple of people inside the building on Tuesday, although no sign of the sort of activity expected at a garage.

A woman inside the showroom would only tell the West Briton: "No statement will be made." A customer who called at that time said it was "a shame" if the business had closed.

There has been a commercial garage on the site for many years.

Nobody from the company was available for comment.
