ALL THE pets who visited Hayle Veterinary Surgery's summer fête recently are featured in a new mural that was created during the fundraiser.

Artist Cosmic from St Agnes has painted the artwork on the car park wall, which now features sheep, dogs, an iguana and snakes.

The day, which raised over £800 for the National Animal Welfare Trust and the Cats Protection League, was reasonably well attended.

Surgery owner Steven Wyatt said: "All the children and some adults were involved in the design and spraying. Of course, I endured a good soaking all in the name of charity, as did Matt Penhaligon, landlord of the Cornish Arms, who helped us during the day."

The winner of the best fancy dress was a two-year old Jack Russell, Scampy Williams, from Hayle.

Steven added: "She was a great dog and sat there for a long period of time in that costume."
