Supermarket staff sweep up £500,000 lottery win
It was a champagne moment for the staff of a Penzance supermarket who have celebrated scooping a £500,000 lottery win.
The syndicate from the Market Jew Street Co-Op store won the pay-out in the Thunderball draw last month which will mean they will each get £31,250.
However though many members of the group said they would be booking holidays and looking forward to a bumper Christmas, none were planning to give up work.
Wendy Uren, who has been a syndicate member ever since starting work at the store seven years ago, said the win came at the perfect time.

Head of the syndicate is Colin Coombs, who said he turned white with shock when he saw the winning line and now hopes that Lady Luck will strike twice.
