Surf's up as Porthtowan sees swells of up to 10ft
Porthtowan beach has seen swells reach 10 ft in height and winds of 24 mph today.
Beth Treweek, a member of staff at Blue Bar in Porthtowan, said: “It’s huge down here, people have been talking about it all day, it’s crazy."
Despite the impressive waves, surfers have been unable to get in to the balmy 16°c water.
“Even though surf is massive it is far too choppy to surf in,” Miss Treweek added.
