Surfing champion is youngest bard since 1930s
AGED just 19, Tassy Swallow is the youngest bard to be inaugurated at Gorsedh in over 80 years.
The surfing champion had to cut short her European competition tour to attend the event on Saturday.
Her dad, Geoff Swallow, said he was surprised when he heard his daughter was gong to not only join the ranks of the county’s bards, but to be the youngest to do so since the 1930s.
“For her to have been given that at such an incredibly young age is an incredible honour,” he said.
