Suspected arson fire on A39 in Camelford

Firefighters from Delabole Community Fire Station were called to Camelford just past 2am on Sunday morning to deal with a fire involving a rubbish container. The rubbish container was at the rear of a building on Market Place.

Market Place is part of the A39 that runs through Camelford.

Fire crews wearing breathing apparatus used one hose reel to extinguish the fire.

The cause of the fire is suspected to be arson. Devon & Cornwall Police have been informed.
