Swanpool Beach cafe expansion plans back on the table
Just two months after plans to extend decking at Swanpool Beach cafe in Falmouth was refused, a fresh application has been submitted.
The new scheme, cafe owner Pete Lochrie says, will address the concerns raised regarding the original proposal.

Instead of a second stand alone deck with a roof, the new plan is for two 'wings' on the existing decking with no roof.
Graham Bennett, architect, said: "It is, in essence, a modest extension".

The wings will be 2.9metres wide and will take up 34m2 rather than the previous 64m2 proposal.
The town council and Cornwall Council objected to the previous scheme by Mr Lochrie, who owns the leasehold of the beach facilities.
It was refused on the grounds it would encroach onto the beach too much, resulting in "an unduly, prominent and incongruous feature."
The application can be viewed online at www.cornwall.gov.uk reference PA13/01899.
