Swans decapitated in horrific attack
Police are investigating the deaths of four mute swans found decapitated at a beauty spot. The mutilated birds were spotted in secluded Restronguet Creek, near Devoran, Cornwall. Two more were found dead nearby but their remains were too badly decomposed to establish if they had been beheaded. Swans are protected under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. Devon and Cornwall Police said officers believed they were killed deliberately before having their heads removed.
