Truro widower takes his own life after losing friend's companship
A TRURO widower killed himself after losing the companionship of an elderly friend, an inquest heard.
Kenneth Rollason, 89, was found at home in Hendra Vean by his daughter, Susan James, on the morning of September 24 last year after he failed to answer her telephone calls.

She told the inquest in Truro her missed his late wife, Mary, was also having mini-strokes and had sciatica and a hernia and was finding it hard to cope.
Recording a verdict of suicide, deputy assistant coroner Barrie Van Den Berg, said: "I think we can rule out a cry for help and an accident. We can assume he did what he did deliberately."
