WADEBRIDGE Primary School pupils have been going wild over their latest subject.

As part of their local studies centring on the River Camel the children have been finding out about the wildlife and history of their home town and its surroundings. They enjoyed a fascinating illustrated talk by retired teaching assistant Margaret Thompson about 'The Three R's of Wadebridge – River, Road and Railway' while Adrian Langdon, local naturalist and photographer, helped the pupils to learn a little more about the wildlife they might expect to see in the area.

Teacher Jeremy Northcott said: "The project culminates at the end of term with a cycle ride and picnic on the Camel Trail during which we will be keeping a keen eye out for some of the birds, animals and plants Mr Langdon told us about and perhaps even one or two of Mrs Thompson's river-working ghosts."
