Talking bench tells Ann's tale
A TALKING bench depicting a famous local rower was opened in Satlash earlier this month.
The tribute to Ann Glanville was officially opened on October 5, in front of a crowd of 70 people.
The talking manikin of Ann describes life in Saltash during her lifetime – from 1796 to 1880.
Saltash town and county councillor Bob Austin set up the project, which attracted about 70 people, most of whom were Ann's descendants.

"As well as entertain it will be passing the history of Saltash to both young and old alike for generations to come."
