Team-building trip to Carnyorth helps Year 7s get to know each other
At the start of term, our new Year 7 students all went on an overnight trip to Carnyorth with their tutor groups for some team-building skills and getting-to-know-you fun. Here are some excerpts from their blogs (the rest can be seen at www.cape.cornwall.sch.uk) 'In order to find our school camp we had to use compasses to find our way because nobody knew where to go. We passed through many fields, some even had cows and bulls in them but they were across the field and took no notice of us luckily' – Romy and Bethany. 'After dinner we had ice cream (mmm)' – Thomas. 'We did some circus skills and dressed up in really funny clothes. Then we went on a late-night walk to look around the arsenic tunnels' – Nayana. 'Then we went to bed, but not necessarily to sleep. Once we got told off a few times for making too much noise, we decided to go to sleep' – Henry.
