Terrorism Act arrests – two still detained
Two men detained under the Terrorism Act remained in police custody last night. Counter terrorist officers searched a further two properties in Torquay yesterday following the earlier discovery of "suspect" material in one of the suspect's homes. The men, aged 18 and 20 and both from the town, were arrested on Wednesday and Thursday, following an initial criminal damage investigation. Police say they are not thought to pose any "imminent threat to persons or property" but detectives continued to quiz the pair. The arrests have been described as "precautionary".
