Thieves target sheds and rural outbuildings
Police in East Devon are investigating 16 burglaries where sheds, garages and outbuildings have been targeted in the last few months. Offenders have forced locks and taken items including gardening and other tools, vehicle parts, bikes and fuel. Particular areas affected are Ottery St Mary, Whimple, West Hill, Woodbury and Lympstone. PC Rob Poole said: "I would request members of the public who live in rural and semi-rural locations to check their sheds and outbuildings regularly for any sign of trespassing or theft."
