Community market, Launceston

A community market will be held in the Methodist Church Hall at Launceston today from 9.30am to 1pm. Meat, vegetables, cheese, pasties and lots of crafts and paintings will be on sale. A cuppa and cake is only 50p and funds raised will go to local causes.

Brendan Cole, Truro

BBC One's Strictly Come Dancing's most charismatic choreographer Brendan Cole performs the first of two nights at the Hall for Cornwall tonight. Brendan brings his new show, Licence to Thrill, which features the man himself and a cast of 20 musicians and dancers. The show starts at 7.30pm and tickets are £29 to £35.50. Aladdin, Liskeard

Liskeard Lions is showing its annual pantomime tonight and tomorrow evening at the Liskeard public hall. This year's production Aladdin promises to provide heaps of laughter for everyone. Tonight's show is for senior citizens only and tickets are free. Tomorrow's show is open to all and tickets range between £5 and £7 for adults and £3 for children. Both shows start at 7.30pm. Babes In The Wood, Coads Green

Coads Green Amateur Players presents Babes In The Wood tonight and tomorrow at 7.30pm. Tickets are £5 for adults, £2.50 for children and information is available from Jill on 01566 782248. The pantomime is also being staged next Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Farmers' Market, Coads Green

A farmers' market will be held at Coads Green village hall tomorrow between 2pm and 4pm. A selection of fresh produce, baked goods and cakes, flowers, plants, herbs, pickles, willow products, jewellery, herbs and children's knitwear will be on sale. Burns Night, Newquay

Revellers can celebrate the works and life of the 18th-century poet Robert Burns, who was known for his song Auld Lang's Syne, on his birthday tomorrow at the Bay Hotel, Newquay from 7pm. Guests will enjoy a Scottish-inspired meal along with a host of entertainment. Dress code is black tie. Tickets cost £24.95 with all proceeds from the night going to Macmillan Cancer Support. Giant jumble sale, Lostwithiel

Bargain hunters will rejoice at the giant jumble sale being held at the Lostwithiel Community Centre tomorrow from 11am and 1pm. The St Stephen Pantomime Company will see the curtain go up on its 68th show Aladdin on Sunday at the community centre, Fore Street, at 2.15pm. Acoustic jam session, Gorran
