A BUDE man has been remanded on bail to face trial on a charge of threatening a witness.
Jonathan Marc de-Winton, 39, of Downs View, Bude, faced a charge at Truro Magistrates' Court last week of threatening Josephine Bernard in the Co-Op at Bude, intending to intimidate her, knowing that she was a witness in proceedings, and intending to obstruct the course of justice.
De Winton, who pleaded not guilty, was remanded on bail until September 27 to appear at Bodmin Magistrates' Court.
Conditions imposed included a curfew between 7pm and 7am. He was ordered not to go within 50 metres of the Co-Op at Bude or to go to Crackington Haven.
