Tigers aim for cheer at home
IT HAS now been more than five months since Truro City supporters saw their team win a league game at Treyew Road.
And new manager Steve Thompson wants to end that abysmal record when they take on Leamington on Saturday (3pm).
-

"We need to get that monkey off our back," said Thompson.
"If we can win on Saturday and again at home to Hemel Hempstead Town on Tuesday things will look a lot rosier."
Thompson was speaking after Tuesday's 4-3 defeat at Brackley Town – a game in which City twice led.
It was a result which further dented City's hopes of a play-off chances – a fact Thompson acknowledges.
He said: "We are not writing off our chances but we now have the chance to look to see who can take us forward for next season."
He has added 19-year-old central defender Ben Gerring to the squad on a non-contract basis after his release by Plymouth Argyle last month.
Gerring was an unused substitute at Brackley, but is likely to get his chance as City's hectic Zamaretto Southern League premier division continues. And Thompson, who is being assisted by former Plym outh Argyle legend Kevin Hodges when available, revealed he was hoping to make another new signing of a utility player before Saturday.
"There is the possibility of a new player, but he is also wanted by a Conference South club and one that is nearer his home."
Tuesday evening's defeat meant City have now won just two of their last 14 matches after winning five of their first six. And Thompson was unhappy with City's second half display.
"There were a few things in the second half which for the first time I did not like to see happen. We have got to keep more clean sheets but it is not just down to the defence but the team as a defensive unit."
He is hoping to have a full strength squad available, apart from Santos Gaia who is still in Brazil

“Steve T thinks the team needs 'to get that monkey off their backs' - fair enough, but I'm not sure that's any way to talk about the Chairman !”
