Tim Burgess to write song with Falmouth children
CHARLATANS frontman Tim Burgess has added more events to his forthcoming solo gig in Falmouth on Wednesday, September 18.
Burgess said: “I’m really looking forward to coming to Falmouth – we’ve got loads planned for the day. We didn’t realise we were landing right in the middle of SPLASH 2013 so we thought we’d get stuck in and do a book reading and we’ve even got a kids’ event planned too. We can’t wait.”
Tim will be joining Falmouth writer Craig Green in an ambitious songwriting project taking place at Espressini coffee shop at 5pm. The event is free.
Craig said: “We want the children of Falmouth to help us write a song about Timcka, a fictional character, based on Tim Burgess himself. Timcka and his friends are in a band called Da Guys. We will write the song and perform it there and then at Espressini and have it up online for the world to listen to, all on the same day. It’ll be better than Yellow Submarine. Children, we need your imagination and singing voices.”
