Toddler and mother assaulted by drunk man in Redruth
POLICE are investigating after a drunk man assaulted a woman and her toddler in Redruth on Thursday.
A 20-year-old woman had been walking with her two-year-old daughter on Alma Place between 8pm and 8.25pm when the incident happened.
They were walking together when a man, who was thought to be intoxicated, approached them and tried to kiss the woman.
The woman and child were left shaken by the incident although not physically injured.

A police spokesman said: “Between 8pm and 8.25pm on Thursday 6th February 2014 a twenty-year old mother and her two year old daughter were assaulted by a man at Alma Place, Redruth near to the railway over bridge.
“The man is described as being in his late 40’s or early 50’s, short and with a stocky build. He was wearing a dark padded jacket with a collar.”
Police want to trace witnesses to the incident in particular a blonde female who was driving a blue car and stopped to assist.
