Trafalgar roundabout £2.25 million improvement works draw to a close in Truro
AFTER months of work, improvements to Truro’s Trafalgar roundabout will draw to a close in November.
As part of the £2.25 million scheme, lanes around the roundabout have been increased from two to three, allowing for easier traffic flow
And today marked the first time all three lanes were open.
But Cornwall Council confirmed the lanes could still be closed off “as and when works are needed to be done”.

The improvement scheme is set to finish during the week of November 11.
A slip road leading from St Clement Street leading to Tregolls Road has been put in to alleviate heavy traffic into the city centre.
It is hoped the now three-lane roundabout will make the centre of Truro more inviting to shoppers and tourists alike.
A spokesperson from Cornwall Council said: “Works will continue on the scheme for the next few weeks. Night time lane closures will continue and there will be occasional daytime lane closures as the need arises. It is intended that the traffic lights, now running 24 hours a day, will remain on whilst the scheme is completed. The system will be closely monitored whilst it beds-in and adjusted as necessary.”
