Trial ends as jury fails to reach verdict in case of Camborne man accused of rape
A JURY has failed to reach a verdict in the trial of a Camborne man who stood accused of raping a woman.
On Friday, Judge Christopher Harvey Clark, QC, dismissed the jury in Bradley Trengove’s trial after they were unable to reach a majority verdict at Truro Crown Court.
They had spent 10 hours and 17 minutes considering the case, during which time the judge gave a direction that a majority verdict of 10 out of 12 jurors would be acceptable.
Trengove, 20, of Brea Adit, Camborne, who denies the charges, is accused of rape and of sexually assaulting a woman aged 16 or over at Camborne.
