Tribute to engineer who died at work
A man who died when he fell from an electricity pole in Cornwall has been named. Ryan Thomas, 28, from Grampound Road, near Truro, was working for Western Power Distribution (WPD). He is believed to have died from his injuries after the pole collapsed in Cawsand on Wednesday evening. The Health and Safety Executive has begun an investigation. Mike Rogers, distribution manager for WDP in Bodmin, said: "Ryan was an excellent and much-respected employee and a valued member of the team who will be greatly missed."
