Tributes paid to cyclist Matthew Collings killed in St Austell crash

A cyclist who died in a St Austell road crash last week has been named as Matthew Collings, 36, from the St Austell area.

Collings was on his bike when he was incolved in a collission with a car last Friday on Menear Road, St Austell, between the Menear Roundabout and St Austell Cricket Club.

The family of Matthew said “We wish to thank family and friends for their support. We will be in touch with you in the future with funeral arrangements as soon as we know details.”

Don Murray, who leads the horticulture team at the Eden Project where Collings worked, said “We are so very sorry to hear the news of Matt and our thoughts are with his family. Matt was so passionate about his job.
