Truro careworker is regional title finalist
A CAREWORKER in Truro has been nominated for a regional industry award.
Carol Jorey, from Home Instead Senior Care in Truro, is a finalist in the South West regional section of the Great British Care Awards, recognising individuals who have demonstrated excellence within their field of work.
Ms Jorey is a finalist in the Care Newcomer Award category and will learn if she is a winner at a awards evening at the Passenger's Shed, Brunel's Old Station in Bristol on November 15.
She said: "I lost my grandparents when I was young and I really miss them, so my clients are like my extended family. I never leave my clients without making them smile, I love hearing their tales, their history and I put everything I can put into looking after them."
She was nominated by her boss, Tim Roe, who said: "Carol's incredibly kind and empathetic and really takes the time to get to know her clients and their families, so she can provide them with the best-quality care and support. Although she only joined the team in January she's already made a massive impact on her clients' lives."
