Truro's Boscawen Park group's play plans are published
A CAMPAIGN group has unveiled the first in a series of plans to improve play provision at a park in Truro.
Designs for a revamped Boscawen Park have been drawn up by the Friends of Boscawen Park with the help of landscape architects MeiLoci and are based on initial ideas that were suggested at public consultation days.
Heidi Morgan, chairman of the group of volunteers, said: "It's very exciting to see the initial designs; everything seems a lot more real now.
"Now we have to start fundraising in earnest to pull together the investment needed to turn this project into a reality."

Mike Hawes from MeiLoci said: "The aim is to create a landmark play area, one that's representative of its important location."
Richard Budge, parks manager for Truro City Council, said: "The way that the Friends of Boscawen Park group have organised themselves is incredible. To have got to this stage in such a short space of time is a testament to their dedication.
"Everyone involved in the project to date is offering services free of charge, from committee members to surveyors and landscape architects.
"It shows just how much the people of Truro care about their park.
"Jon Douglass, from Douglass Geomatics Ltd, has also kindly donated time to the project to help with survey information."
