THE Kazbah in Quay Street Truro reopens on Monday, September 9, after a £70,000 investment programme has been completed with comprehensive redecoration and improvements taking place in the bar, dining area and kitchen.
The completion of the refurbishment will be marked by an opening party on Saturday, September 14, with live music and the chance to try the dishes from the new menu.

“Our aim for the pub is to recreate a friendly Cornish village pub atmosphere right in the heart of the city - the Kazbah is a real hidden gem and we’re hoping with the new developments will help to put our venue on the map in Truro.
“We’ve already had an enormous level of interest and support over the development period and we are now just working hard to get everything ready for our launch date.”
A wide range of drinks will be on offer with three real ales on tap at any time. The Kazbah menu will feature traditional pub food using as much local produce as possible such as prime quality steaks, luxury cod and chips and speciality pies and also delicious sharing platters which will be generously loaded with fine cut meats, accompanied by a variety of artisan breads, tasty stuffed peppers and olives, creamy baked camembert or nachos on a bed of five-bean chilli.
The pub is also launching an evening event schedule with an open mic session on Monday nights where everyone is welcome to come along and perform, a quiz night on Tuesday, and jazz and Wine on Wednesday evenings. There will be some great everyday offers too with a “working late club” every weekday with special promotional prices.
The Kazbah has also be opened a tea room adjacent to the pub. Kris’s mum will be running this area and will make the cakes that will be on sale, making this a real family business with a wide selection of loose leaf teas, coffees, chocolate and refreshing cordials, serving morning coffee, afternoon cream teas and high teas with freshly made sandwiches, toasted tea-cakes and delicious home-made cakes.
