Commuters in west Cornwall have been faced by widespread flooding this morning after heavy rainfall in the region over night.

Floods have been reported at Rosudgeon, St Erth, Heamoor and between St Ives and Hayle, and police have also reported 100m standing water on the Helston to Hayle road.

Many drivers abandoned their cars in knee deep water at Kenneggy Downs on the A394 this morning, while police temporarily closed Treloweth Lane in St Erth, although later reported it reopening.

Flooding has been reported on Old Coach Road between St Ives and Hayle, while separate reports have come in for Treneere Lane in Heamoor.
