The Usual Fuzzpects - lads from St Columb's Worlds Apart go gangster for Movember
THEY might look like Mexican gangsters in a police line-up, but beneath the dodgy facial hair lie seven kind-hearted charity fundraisers.
The lads from St Columb-based children’s furniture manufacturers Worlds Apart grew moustaches last month to raise cash for men’s health charity Movember.
Dubbed Los Peludos – the ‘hairy ones’ in Spanish – they raised more than £1,000 before celebrating their achievement with a final shave-off.
Families of two team members have been affected by testicular cancer this year, which made the group even more determined to succeed.

Mr Gray, Worlds Apart’s head of design, said: “Movember is becoming part of Worlds Apart’s calendar of key events. Whilst one might regard it as a bit of fun and an excuse not to have to shave for a month, the most important thing is that we focus on the importance of raising awareness of men’s health.
“The fact that two of our families have been affected by testicular cancer this year is a sobering thought and we are even more determined to do all we can to make a difference.”
Members of the team are Richard Carter, Jon Turnham, Neil Gray, James Austin-Smith, Stewart Cole, and Paul Collings. They were also joined by Harry Baylis, the honorary girl member who baked a moustache-shaped cake to create further awareness of their efforts.
