VIDEO: Angus Sinclair ready for Cornish Pirates debut against Leeds
Cornish Pirates have made three changes to the side that beat Bristol for their Championship game with Leeds at Mennaye Field on Friday.
The Penzance-based club stunned the title favourites on Sunday, but, although the two try-scorers – James Tincknell and James Sandford – retain their places, the Pirates will be without Matt Evans, Darren Barry and Joel Conlon through a mixture of rotation and injury.
Kieran Goss is set to make his Championship debut for the Cornish club on the wing in place of Evans, Alex Cheeseman replaces Conlon, and Gary Johnson will partner Sandford in the second row.
Australian back Angus Sinclair could make his Championship debut from the replacements’ bench.

He said: “I’m really excited to have the chance to play against Leeds. Obviously, I didn’t get the opportunity against Bristol, but it’s all good because the boys put in a great performance and Friday night under lights here will be a great chance to get out on the field, hopefully.
“Leeds got a bit of an upset at the weekend, they were probably expecting to win that one. They’ll be ready, though. They will have seen our tape of the game and be firing against us. We just have to weather that storm and play like we did last Sunday.”
