VIDEO: Muddled gran throws glass of Pimm's in bride's face outside Cornish church
A GRANDMOTHER forgot which hand her confetti was in – and threw a full glass of Pimm’s over the bride outside a Cornish church.
The gob-smacking gaffe was caught on camera at the wedding of Darren and Jennifer Nock as the happy couple emerged from the vestibule.
Guests looked on in horror as the bride, the drink-thrower’s granddaughter, turned away and tried to clean up her dress.
Mrs Nock said: “We only had a small wedding, about 30 people there, and we were coming out of our reception venue. We'd just turned up to have drinks and canapés and we weren’t allowed to have confetti in the church, so we were having it there. We were just coming out prior to the photos. My lovely grandma got the drink and the confetti mixed up.”

But rather than ruin their big day, the couple have said the accident became a big talking point and helped everyone get along. There was also a happy ending.
Mrs Nock added: “My reaction was the shock of having something thrown in my face - I wear contact lenses.
“I couldn’t have cared about the dress. It didn't ruin the day at all. Grandma stayed out for the full day - and it helped the wedding because not everyone knew each other, and it got everyone talking.”
The wedding took place in 2009 but the couple only recently posted footage on You Tube.
