VIDEO: Truro mum Samantha Wearne's bungee jump in memory of late son
A MOTHER from Truro raised more than £500 by carrying out a massive bungee jump.
Jack Mylam died in his mother Samantha Wearne’s arms in August 2009 after doctors made a devastating diagnosis a year earlier.
Samantha Wearne jumped 160 ft to raise funds for the Jack Mylam Foundation and promote awareness of Jack’s condition – Diffuse Pontine Glioma (DIPG).
She said: “It's an important message that needs to be spread if we're ever going to make a difference. It felt totally mad but it was exhilarating and I shouted Jack's name as I jumped.”
