Van Barneveld full of pride after title glory
SPORT: Raymond van Barneveld beat his fellow Dutchman Michael van Gerwen 16-14 to claim the Grand Slam of Darts title in Wolverhampton at the weekend. It was a first major title since the Las Vegas Desert Classic in 2007 for the the 45-year-old five-times world champion, who said: "It's amazing. I'm emotional. It's hard to find the words to describe this feeling. Michael's a brilliant player and a future world champion. He could be the best in the world, and he's not far off."
