Vintage fayre brings out best of Liskeard
A Cornish community at the centre of a drive to turn around town centres across the country has staged its first vintage market.
The event in Liskeard was organised by the Liskeard Town Team as part of the Portas Pilot scheme to revamp the town centre.

Vintage-style gifts were available for visitors to buy, and a vintage tea room offered refreshments including mulled wine and cider.
Rebecca Catterall, from the Liskeard Town Team, said the event had been a great success helped by the sunny weather.

"Thank you to everyone who came to the vintage fayre, to all our fabulous stall holders to the crew behind the vintage tea room and to all of those town team volunteers who helped out."
Earlier this year Liskeard was chosen as one of TV shopping guru Mary Portas's 12 pilot towns by the Government and scooped £100,000 to help give the town centre a make-over. At the end of October she visited the town for the Big Clean where local residents came out to help spruce up the high street.
The Town Team, which submitted the bid to take part in Portas's pilot scheme, has been introducing initiatives to help attract shoppers to Liskeard, including discounted train tickets for Looe residents and discounts in shops.
