Violence and abuse charity in Redruth installs new technology
A NEW charity has adopted cutting-edge technology in its fight against sexual violence and abuse.
Skoodhya, named after the Cornish verb 'to assist', has installed a private cloud system that enables charity workers to work while keeping information safe and secure.
The system was installed by CF Systems of Redruth, which supports the charity's work and provided some of the equipment free of charge.
Skoodhya specialises in offering support to victims of abuse and violence and educating the public to reduce the likelihood of such harmful behaviour in the future.

Chief executive Sally Piper said: "As someone who's worked in charities for some time, I know poor IT infrastructure is capable of preventing a charity from working at its best and we're not going to let that happen here. It's possible to waste precious time finding workarounds to IT problems, but there's no substitute for a robust infrastructure that will allow us to take the charity into the future."
