Vision: Blueprint for future of area
KEEN interest was shown in how the Wadebridge area should be developed in the future when more than 200 people attended an exhibition and meeting in the town hall last weekend.
The event was held by Wadebridge, Egloshayle and St Breock councils, which have decided to formulate a joint neighbourhood plan.

WISH LIST: Josh Stawski, Dan Nightingale and Tyler Hernandez are among those who want a new BMX and skatepark in Wadebridge.
It will act as a local blueprint for what residents would like to see happen in the area in the coming years in the way of development and amenities.
Those attending the exhibition ranged from children requesting BMX parks, to pensioners with concerns over disabled access.

Wadebridge councillor Stephen Knightley, chairman of the working group overseeing the local plan, said a great deal of preparation went into creating an exhibition of documentation and maps that influence the character and amenities within the neighbourhood area to give people an indication of the restraints, as well as the aspirations, of the neighbourhood plan.
Mr Knightley said: "Having seen the display and spoken to many of the attending councillors from the three parishes, the public were invited to either fill in forms that gave them the opportunity to make comments or recommendations, or draw on any of the four maps that were displayed to give a diagrammatic illustration of their individual concerns or aspirations.
"These comments and maps will be used, along with the responses from a questionnaire that will be sent to every household, business and student attending the comprehensive school, to create a draft plan which, once formulated, will again be exhibited for further consultations."
He said the councils were eager to hear from the community on what their thoughts were about the future of the neighbourhood.
