Volunteers clear Bronze Age site
MORE than 20 volunteers turned out to help clear gorse and brambles from a historic Bronze Age settlement site in West Penwith.
The volunteers worked on the heathland at Lanyon Farm, where they helped clear invading scrub from the remains of a Bronze Age settlement at Bosilliack.
The day, on February 16, was organised by the Cornwall Wildlife Trust as part of its Wild Penwith project.

"By the end of the day we'd created a 'gorse maze' – routes for the stock to move through the dense vegetation and find their way round the whole area."
The 250 hectares of heathland and wetland at Lanyon and Boswarva Farms are owned by Stephen Bone and his family.
Devon cattle will graze the rough land at Lanyon this summer to open up the heathland and wetland habitats to wild flowers and to improve access for people.
