A RENEWED call has gone out for volunteers to help St Austell enter the 2013 South West in Bloom contest.

For the past two years the town has won the South West in Bloom competition's Silver Gilt Award.

Organisers even set up a group, on the judges' advice, dubbed the St Austell Bloomers in a bid to help their entries blossom.

However, due to three resignations the group needs more volunteers who dig the idea of helping the town prepare for the competition.

Gardeners, web designers, administration officers and good organisers are just some of the sorts of people who would be welcome, they say.

Volunteers would need to be able to offer a few hours a month.
