Volunteers ready to walk on fire for children's charity
A children's charity is wishing volunteers good luck ahead of tonight’s upcoming fire walk challenge in Marazion.
Many brave volunteers will be walking across hot embers this evening to raise funds for Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW).
It is the first time the event has been held in the town.
Sarah Stott, events fundraiser for CHSW, said: “We are very excited to be able to hold this unique event on Marazion Beach. Thank you to everyone who has signed up to take part and good luck. We look forward to seeing you on the evening and watching you achieve the impossible!”
Registration on the evening will be between 6.15pm and 6.45pm at the Godolphin Arms, where there will then be a seminar for participants at 7pm.
Friends, family and supporters are encouraged to enjoy the beach party atmosphere where there will be entertainment on the beach.
At 8pm the Firewalkers will gather and take on the hottest and shortest sponsored walk Marazion has ever seen.
Refreshments will be available throughout the evening from the Godolphin Arms.
Registration for the event is now closed.
