Wadebridge Camels rugby teenager selected by England Counties Under 20 tour
YOUNG Wadebridge Camels prop Zac Cinnamond has been selected for the England Counties Under-20s' two-match tour of Georgia next month.
The 18-year-old is the only player from the Duchy to make the final cut after divisional trials took place at Welbeck College, near Loughborough, with centre Tom Hendrickson and back rower Neil Broadbank both missing out.
However, Cinnamond is joined in the tour party by Devon's Rob Avery-Wright, Gloucestershire duo Nico Woodward and Ricky Cano, and Somerset's Mike Flook.
Cinnamond came to the attention of the selectors playing for Cornwall in the National Under-20 Championship this season.
The 18-year-old then moved on to the South West trials at Keynsham in Bristol, and then the national trials.
Cinnamond, who has played for the Irish Exiles Under-19s, is a student at Plymouth College.
Wadebridge Camels travel to bottom of the table North Dorset looking to build on their thrilling 32-30 victory over Thornbury at the Molesworth Field.
Following the disappointment of losing the Cornwall Cup final, on top of three successive league defeats, Wadebridge bounced back in some style (see match report, Page 99).
The Camels are fifth in the South West One West table and are looking to move above Chard, who are three points above them.
