Warning after palm oil found on Newquay beach this morning
THE police are warning dog walkers to be vigilant after palm oil was discovered on a Cornish beach this morning.
The white, waxy substance was seen on Fistral Beach at Newquay and could pose a risk to dogs if eaten.
Newquay police inspector Dave Meredith warned people to be carful. The advice is to keep dogs on a lead.
The material has been washing up along the north coast and also at Porthleven in the last few days.
