The Environment Agency has issued severe flood warnings for Polperro and Helston.

A severe flood warning is issued if there is a risk of severe flooding that might cause danger to someone's life.

At the River Cober at Helston river levels are rising and the river is expected to flood out of the back affecting areas including St Johns Road, St Johns Close, Coronation Park and Loe Pool.

The River Pol at Polperro is overtopping the screen upstream of the village and flooding of the village is occurring. The Environment Agency is warning that flooding could be extremely hazardous and fast flowing. It looks likely to affect areas including Crumplehorn, The Coombe, Lansallos Street, Mill Hill, Langreek Road and the Main Car Park.
