The Football Association has charged Leeds United manager Neil Warnock with improper conduct for his "on-field behaviour" following his side's 1-0 npower Championship defeat at Millwall last Sunday. Warnock was furious that referee Mark Halsey dismissed Leeds striker Luke Varney three minutes into the second half for an apparent elbow on Adam Smith. The 63-year-old former Plymouth Argyle boss has until 4pm on Friday to respond to the charge. Leeds have recalled on-loan striker Dominic Poleon from Bury only a day after allowing the 19-year-old to extend his stay at the npower League One club.
