Weather fails to dampen spirit of Dawlish charity cyclists
A brave band of seven cyclists faced the worst of the Westcountry weather as they began a 150-mile cycle ride in aid of Help the Heroes.
Describing themselves as "more senior gentlemen", the group set off from their home town of Dawlish first thing in the morning.

Organiser Mike Swift, whose son is a colour sergeant in the Coldstream Guards, said: "People have been very supportive and there is already about £1,500 in the kitty.
"Anyone wishing to show support can make donations to Help For Heroes in the normal way."

The group cycled to Liskeard in South East Cornwall yesterday buffeted along the way by strong winds and heavy rain.
"We are just very wet," 65-year-old Mr Swift added, "but we will be okay."
The friends are heading to Padstow today before making their way to St Ives.
