Weather warning for Cornwall as high winds and heavy rain cancel flights

A weather warning has been issued for Cornwall for today and tomorrow.

Exeter based weather agency, the Met Office, have issued the yellow 'be aware' warning for the whole Duchy, warning "Persistent rain will spread into south west England during Thursday, turning heavy at times and extending further north and east on Thursday night and into Friday.

"The public should be aware that some minor flooding impacts from rivers and surface water are expected."

Westerly winds of 24 mph, gusting up to 44mph are expected in western parts of Cornwall.

Skybus have cancelled all flights leaving from Lands End to the Isles of Scilly today, and will take a decision this afternoon on the possible cancellation of flights tomorrow.
