Wellbeing centre set to open in summer
WORK is taking place on a new £600,000 Health and Wellbeing Centre at the former primary school site on St Mary's.
The builder is local contractor PC Green Builders.
A summer completion date is set for the scheme, which has been funded largely by grants from the Big Lottery Fund and the Isles of Scilly Local Action Group (LAG).
It will offer facilities including a centre for lifelong learning with state-of-the-art teaching aids and equipment, a permanent new base for the Memory Café, a sensory garden, and special provision for childcare.
