Withy hit hapless Magpies for six
Penzance 0, Witheridge 6
A SUPERB hat-trick from striker Jordan Charran and a quickfire second half brace from substitute Steve Ebdy earned Witheridge a comfortable victory over the beleaguered Magpies at Penlee Park on Saturday.
The victory was never in much doubt for the visitors once they had taken a 10th minute lead when Charran netted his first with an exquisite volley from full back Aidan Way's cross.
Withy defender Dave Rowe almost doubled his side's lead eight minutes later when his shot struck the inside of the post, rolled back across goal and just wide of the opposite upright.

Bradley Wills fired a good effort just wide of the target for the Magpies midway through the half, and although it was the visitors who continued to dominate it wasn't until the stroke of half-time that they managed to add to their lead, when defender Ryan Williams cleared Richard Groom's shot off the line, only for the loose ball to be turned back into the net by Toby Nicholson's overhead kick.
Penzance started the second half brightly enough and Wills' fierce free kick shaved an upright, but it was effectively game over on the hour mark when Charran scored his second of the afternoon from close range after being picked out by a superb ball from Nicholson.
Ebdy wasted little time in making his mark after coming off the bench midway through the second half and made it 4-0 with a sweet half volley after 69 minutes, with Charran completing his hat-trick immediately after the restart.
With the floodgates open the visitors now looked to be scoring almost at will, but although Magpies keeper Paul Williams made some good saves to keep the scoreline respectable, he could do little to prevent Ebdy completing the rout 18 minutes from time.
This Saturday Penzance are at home to second from bottom Liskeard Athletic (3pm).

DIVISION ONE WEST
Hayle 4, Vospers OV 0
AFTER losing 7-0 to Godolphin Atlantic seven days earlier, Hayle returned to winning ways with a 4-0 win at home to Vospers Oak Villa on Saturday.
Adam Palmer gave the home side a tenth minute lead, and before half-time they had a chance to go 2-0 up but Kevin Lawrence saw his penalty saved.
Lawrence made amends when he set up Palmer to score Hayle's second, before finally getting his name on the scoresheet to make it 3-0.
And after Palmer was brought down in the box, Lawrence this time found the net from the penalty spot to complete the scoring.
