A coastguard rescue team, paramedics and the Cornwall Air Ambulance are involved in the rescue of a woman who fell and injured herself on the North Cornwall coast.

Falmouth Coastguard said the 60-year-old casualty was in a "very inaccessible" location near Crackington Haven which meant ambulance crews needed help reaching her.

The Bude Coastguard Rescue Team was called at 1pm and are carrying the injured lady on a stretcher to the Cornwall Air Ambulance, which is waiting in a nearby field.

A spokesman for Falmouth Coastguard said: "The rescue is ongoing but we understand the female was in a very inaccessible spot and the first ambulance crew to arrive at the scene could not safely move her.
