Woman attacked in whiplash sex assault
A woman was sexually assaulted in the early hours of New Year's Day. The 36-year-old sustained whiplash during the attack in Liskeard at around 1.30am on January 1. She had walked through the Cattle Market car park into Varley Lane when she was approached at the cut-through leading into Lanchard Road. The woman felt a push to the back of her head and her dress being pulled up from behind as the man threatened her, but she managed to free herself and run home. The man is said to have had a Cornish accent. Anyone with information can contact police on 101.
