Woman car driver is winched to safety near Helston
A woman driver was winched back over a hedge while still inside her car by emergency services in Cornwall. The recovery followed a two-vehicle collision on a secondary road near Helston. Police and fire crews were called to the B3297 near Trannack Community Primary School at 9.45am yesterday. A police spokesman said one of the vehicles left the road after the collision and was winched back over the hedge in order to remove the driver. "It is not thought that she has suffered any serious injuries," the spokesman added.
