Woman dies two days after being hit by car in Camborne
A woman who died after being struck by a car leaving a council car park in Cornwall has been named by police. Stephanie Cook, 65, from the Beacon area of Camborne, was in collision with a car leaving the rear of the old Kerrier District Council offices in Dolcocath Avenue on December 20. She was trapped under a red Vauxhall Astra and had to be freed by Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service before being taken to the Royal Cornwall Hospital, Truro, in a critical condition but died two days later. The road was closed for about six hours. Police are appealing for witnesses.
